I created a screencast video highlighting a website that lists some current ways you can make money by using Procreate! What better way to make some extra cash than by doing something you enjoy?!

Please enjoy the video, and if you want to look into the website further there is a link below:

I was surprised at how user-friendly the steps were to create this interactive screencast video! I used my iPad to take the video with its built-in screen recording function, then converted the format to mp4, and added a multiple-choice question using the HP5 tool.

Taking a screencast recording can be an approachable and efficient way to communicate both in formal and informal learning environments. You could use it for tasks like the one I completed and share information with a wide audience, or it could be used to leave instructions for a substitute teacher to make an activity setup easier. Wherever the tool is being utilized there is no doubt a person trying to learn something, benefitting from this format being available.  Having the ability to watch something being done is so beneficial and much less subjective than trying to follow another person’s written or oral instructions. The video can be paused, rewound, slowed down, sped up, subtitled, shared, and probably another handful of ways it creates inclusivity among learners. These recordings can be used for all ages by adapting to capabilities, for example, you could use a screencast video in a kindergarten classroom to show how to open a specific app on a classroom tablet that they can rewatch when needed and don’t need to ask directions. In high school or university, they could be used to post lecture audio to corresponding slides of a PowerPoint so students can access the content multiple times if they need clarification or missed class.

The information saved and disbursed on these recordings has to be appropriate for anyone to view and shouldn’t be used for personal information; a biology lecture posted versus a teacher using this tool to send a recorded report card analysis to parents. You should also never include any passwords or financial information in a screencast recording.

Overall, I found this tool extremely useful and adaptable!
